Greg Montoya BFC Mission

Busses for Christ, Inc, (BFC) a not-for-profit 501(c)3 California Corporation founded in 2011 by Greg Montoya of San Diego, is a nondenominational Christian organization, made up of men and women from all walks of life and all denominations who share a common vision and desire...”To bring hope, encouragement and basic need-type supplies, i.e., clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, hygiene products, bibles, etc., to the homeless at local beaches and communities around them”. Through Christ-centered alliances with people in the diverse arenas of ministry, business, entertainment and education, our mission is to serve as a catalyst, strategically bringing the movers and shakers of the world together with the objective of helping the homeless, as well as helping local churches and other applicable organizations fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20) in this and future generations.
The faithful volunteers and financial supporters of BFC are dedicated to helping others in need discover that genuine hope and love comes from the security of an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and that true success is measured not in what one can get, but instead, what they can give to those in need, physically, financially, and most importantly, spiritually.

BFC Brings Hope To The Homeless

Present and Future Goals For Busses For Christ, Inc.
Busses For Christ founded by Greg Montoya provides bibles, food cards, reference lists and on a case-by-case basis financial help to the homeless community. These items are offered depending on each person’s specific need and unique situation. On a case-by-case basis money may be given for someone in need of gas, food, shelter, clothing etc. BFC is an official IRS 501(c)3 entity. The initial goal of BFC is to raise funds to purchase one or more prototype ministry busses for the local San Diego beach areas and have them retrofitted to accommodate adequate space for storage of supplies, etc. Local volunteering missionaries will be interviewed and, providing there is a fit in accordance to the BFC Mission Statement, one missionary will be assigned to each bus with the responsibility to maintain the bus and execute assigned activities to accomplish the goal as outlined in the BFC Mission Statement. Bus maintenance, storage costs and supplies will be provided by funds generated from BFC fundraising efforts. Once proof of the concept has been established, the goal is to purchase additional busses as needed, and slowly begin duplicating the program throughout the coastal areas of California and eventually the United States at large.

Testimonies of other Missionary groups supported by BFC:
I had the opportunity to serve the people of Helene Honduras. I was sent to help build houses and re-strengthen existing structures that were falling apart, as well as fellowship with the community. It was a great experience to take part in an international missions trip, and to "go out into all the world" and share the love of Jesus. On the way home though, I felt that God impressed on my heart the mission field that exists right in my own backyard of north coastal San Diego. All around me people are hurting and need to hear and see in action the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to show people the love of Jesus in an immediate way that impacts their lives. I am thankful to Busses For Christ for their financial contribution to help fund the trip and to Mission Encounters for the experience. I'm excited to continue to serve - Christopher Steensma
